Frequently Asked Questions
The following provide troubleshooting solutions to some of
the most common issues that learners experience. If your
technical issue is not addressed here, please contact the Professional Security Knowledge Network's Support Desk.
If you have forgotten your username or password, click on the 'Forget your username?' or 'Forget your password?' links on the login page and follow the directions provided.
You will be prompted to enter the email address associated with your account. If you forgot your password, you will also need to enter your username.
An email will arrive in your inbox with the instructions to reset your username and password.
PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to check your JUNK folder if the reset email does not show up in your inbox
If you have completed your Basic Security Training or Introduction to Private Investigation course in full or require a rewrite, please visit How To Book An Exam create an account and book an exam online.
If you are looking to purchase individual courses, you can easily register for courses through our website: Course Library and click REGISTER.

To apply for a License:
- You must be over 18 years old
- You must be eligible to work in Canada
- You must be fluent in English
- You must have no criminal record
- You must have no outstanding criminal charges
- You must not be the subject of a criminal investigation

Once you have registered and paid for a course from the Professional Security Knowledge Network catalogue, you have one year in which to complete it.
In order to run courses on Professional Security Knowledge Network, the following are our system requirements:
